Steve Lomas, Managing Director, Private Sector Finance

Steve is Managing Director in Private Sector Finance, focused on structuring and executing financing solutions for UK grid, transport infrastructure and retrofit projects.  

Steve has been involved in financing global infrastructure projects for over 30 years both in the private and public sectors. After spending time at NatWest, RBS and Ambac closing infrastructure deals globally, Steve joined HM Treasury, where he helped establish the Infrastructure Finance Unit before supporting the set-up of the Green Investment Bank. The team established the £40 billion UK Guarantees Scheme (UKGS) which issued over £4 billion of guarantees and made £1.4 billion of fund investments. Steve played a leading role in the set up and launch of the UK Infrastructure Bank, joining as one of the organisation’s first senior hires and serving as Co-Head of Banking during its first year of operations.
