Through our Regional Project Accelerator, we bring our public and private sector expertise together to support local and regional government to accelerate projects that create local economic benefits. Our aim is to improve the quality, increase the volume and accelerate the pace of project pipelines being delivered.
Our Regional Project Accelerator offer includes:
1. Strategic partnerships: long-term partnerships with combined authorities and city regions with high-growth potential to accelerate investment in selected local projects. Includes dedicated investment experts from the National Wealth Fund advising on design and development of projects to attract private capital. Read more about our strategic partnerships.
2. Project advisory support: focused on a number of regionally significant projects across the UK. This could include support on project feasibility, through to the commercial and the financial aspects of a project.
3. Lending: low cost, flexible lending, directly to local government at gilts +40bps, to support regionally significant projects. Find out more about our lending offer.
Local authorities face common challenges when seeking to develop and deliver projects that support clean energy and local growth ambitions and we recognise the sector needs support for commercial project development and to secure finance.
We predominantly provide services within the following sectors: building retrofit and energy system decarbonisation, clean energy and heat networks, transport and place based regeneration and investment.
