Headquartered in Leeds, we are a policy bank, bringing together the strengths of both the public and private sectors to unlock the UK’s future.
We have £27.8 billion of core capitalisation to deploy in pursuit of our triple bottom line: supporting government’s growth and clean energy missions, crowding in significant private capital over time and generating a return for the taxpayer.
We are operationally independent but wholly owned by HM Treasury. Our relationship with HM Treasury is set out in our Framework Document.
We have a team of investment professionals with expertise to invest across the capital structure, in support of government's growth and clean energy missions.
Our investments must meet our triple bottom line.
Projects must meet our investment principles, be based in the UK, and for private sector deals, the minimum financing required is £25 million.
Our local authority team has the skills and capacity to offer impartial advisory services, and the lowest cost finance for capital intensive local authority projects.
