Sheer Khan, Chief Impact Officer
Sheer heads up the impact team which leads analysis on the impact of our investments.
He is a senior leader with a career spanning over 20 years in the public sector, tackling some of the most complex social policy issues, including child poverty, pension reform, long term unemployment, manufacturing policy, and energy and climate change. He is an economist by profession, with a track record in applying economic principles and analytical approaches to strategy and policy across the public sector. He has held a number of roles across government departments and was previously the Chief Economist at DWP.
He led the development of a future business strategy for DWP (the largest government department with over £250 billion of spending, and 80,000 staff, delivering to over 23 million customers every year). The strategy set out the vision for how services will be delivered in the future and a clear operating model for how data, digital, estates, people and partnerships will evolve over time to achieve it.
