Helen Williams, Chief Strategy & Policy Officer (Jobshare)
Helen is Chief Strategy & Policy Officer at the National Wealth Fund (formerly UK Infrastructure Bank), job-sharing with Kate McGavin. They joined UKIB shortly after it opened its doors in Summer 2021 as part of the founding team to establish the Bank and are responsible for leading the policy, strategy and comms teams.
Before joining the Bank Helen was Director in the Cabinet Office leading on UK governance and devolution during EU Exit and Covid. Helen joined the Civil Service in 2000 and has worked in various central government departments including HM Treasury, the Dept for Business and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. She has significant experience sponsoring arms’ length bodies of Government and leading strategy and policy delivery.
Helen is an experienced non-executive including as vice-chair of the Horniman Museum and Gardens.
